Homespun is always a challenge for me. Between the multi-colors and fuzziness of the yarn, I just can't get the hang of seeing the stitches. But I love your hat. If I weren't so "gaugically challenged," I would try it myself. LOL!

What a great pattern. I am going to make one for me since I have lost my hair due to chemo and need a nice warm hat to keep me warm until summer shows up. Thanks for such a great pattern.

Made one just this morning in about 2 hours. Easy pattern to work, just count every round before you put that slip stitch in to check your work. It looks great yet is so simple!

This is a really cute hat, but I have a question. I seem to be increasing the stitch count by 1 starting with row 6. I have 60 stitches when I start, but end up with 61 once row 6 is completed. I think that's because of the dc done in the same stitch as the ch 2. While the ch 2 doesn't count as a stitch, by doing a dc in that stitch is basically an increase.

Is that what's supposed to be happening?

Thanks!
